Hot Chocolate

The movie "Chocolat" inspired the Maître Chocolatiers at LINDT to create this superb hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 litre milk
  • 1 Madagascar Vanilla bean, split 1 stick of cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon (3.5g) Black pepper corns (whole)
  • 2 x 3.5oz (100g) LINDT EXCELLENCE 70%, chopped

Serve hot with a tablespoon of whipped cream.

    Heat the milk

    • Heat the milk with the spices until it reaches boiling point (do not let the milk boil).

    Add chocolate

    • Add the chopped chocolate and whisk until smooth

  • 3

    Remove from heat

    • Remove from heat and let rest for 25 minutes to release the spices’ aroma.

    Serve

    • Strain the liquid and reheat before serving.
