The best branded dark chocolate
The best dark chocolate sold by Sainsbury's (shame not always on an offer so can be a bit expensive). Much nicer than the 85% one. Sainsbury's unable to offer decent alternative own brand. You can't go wrong with this one.

makes real hot chocolate drink
The only way to consume a chocolate of this quality is to allow one or two pieces to melt in the mouth (without chewing), to savour the experience of each second on every conscious level. This chocolate isn't intense or bitter, and is without unpleasant aftertaste. We adore Lindt chocolate melted in hot milk for a delicious cup of hot chocolate. Sometimes we make other additions of spices or other flavourings. Once you have this 'real' hot chocolate, you won't want to go back to pre-packaged powders. I also love to use this Lindt bar in one of my favourite snacks, Millionaire's Shortbread, and to dip fresh strawberries in the melted chocolate, then roll in extremely finely chopped pistachio nuts. Once you try a higher percentage cacao chocolate bar, it can become difficult to go back to other bars, so I keep a permanent assortment of Lindt 70%, 85% and 90% in my kitchen drawers, ready to consume, and which one I opt for depends on my mood. When you break off a piece from any of the 3 bars, they all have the snap of a quality chocolate

Delicious chocolate bar
I have tried many different brands of chocolate over the years, but this is my favourite! Delicious taste, nice aroma, and satisfying "snap" to taste a piece. A complete winner in my view, better than all the rest.

Really intense, not bitter
Thank you for reading my review. I am not a massive fan of dark chocolate, but my wife is and had just got this, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. Normally dark chocolate is bitter and leaves a nasty aftertaste, however I found the Lindt chocolate does not have this. The flavour is incredibly intense, and once I got used to it after years of eating milk and whites chocolate, or worse still, low quality chocolate I am beginning to be converted! Because of the rich flavour I find I can only eat it in moderation, which is no bad thing!
If you are on the fence, or flat out don’t eat dark chocolate this will make you reconsider! I only dropped one star because dark chocolate is not perfect! But probably 5 stars if you are already a convert!

Rich aromatic chocolate indulgence
I'm a big fan of Lindt chocolate anyway and this Lindt excellence 70% cocoa dark chocolate did not disappoint.
The chocolate broke away easily and cleanly and had a nice bite to it. The flavour was intense, rich and you can really taste the deep aromatic cocoa flavour. It has the right blend of dark chocolate bitter taste and smooth velvety chocolate sweetness with one piece enough to satisfied my chocolate craving. It was lovely and smooth, and melted in the mouth perfectly but also slowly enough if you perfer to chomp on your chocolate.

Powerful chocolate. Good for health
This chocolate is a high quality the lid is inscribed with tasting notes that encourages you to let the chocolate melt slowly in your mouth. I usually have other brand dark chocolates but the balance between cocoa can be bitter but somehow Lindt have managed to get this just right.
As it is so luxurious you wouldn't want to eat more than one or two pieces at a time. It's a totally different mind-set eating this to even 70% chocolate.
I took the bar into my office and a few people tried them. The reaction was generally favourable and nearly everyone rated them 6 or 7 with just 1 couple of people going as low as 5.
I suspect that the fat quality in the Lindt is slightly lower. It is not so cloying to detract from the flavour of the chocolate. I cannot recommend Lindt dark chocolate enough.

Beautifully Smooth Chocolate
What a wonderful tasting chocolate bar this is. It has the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness with it being 70%. The sheen on the chocolate is superb so it has obviously been tempered really well. Great mouth feel as well and it melts really smoothly across your mouth. I loved this on its own having a couple of squares as a treat. It also works great in cooking. I added some to a Chilli I made it gave it some really nice richness. Overall a really nice, rich chocolate bar.

Simply delicious!
In the interests of full disclosure, I have to confess that I much prefer dark chocolate to milk, so knew in advance that I was going to like this product! Having said that, some high percentage can be a bit bitter, but not this one, I found it to be rich & velvety, with no bitterness at all. I’m guessing that it would be good for cooking with, but ate it all before I got a chance to test it!! A couple of squares (they are large squares) with a cup of coffee........delicious.
