The Dark Side
This isn't something you are likely to enjoy unless you are already accustomed to eating dark chocolate; you either like it or you don't. Its worth saying that there is a big difference between the 90% and the 70%; the latter is considerably sweeter. I don't have a sweet tooth and I can't stand milk chocolate so I prefer this. I love it and I don't find it bitter at all. Tastes great with black coffee. How this tastes to you very much depends on what you've been eating and whether you regularly eat sugary foods; if you do, you will probably find it too bitter. I have made chocolate cake out of this and its tastes amazing. It tastes of cocoa not sugar.

Delicious but don't assume it will be sweet like other chocolates
Like many people, I enjoy chocolate. Having realised just how much sugar there is in common chocolate bars I wanted to find something chocolatey I could eat in place of my regular Snickers/Twix/Mars Bar snack to attempt to reduce my sugar intake a bit.
I started out with the lower percentages and gradually worked my way up to this. There's a slight difference in taste, but to be honest I recently bought a Lindt chocolate bar with a lower percentage of cocoa in it after having been consuming the higher-percentage one for a while, and noticed it seemed significantly sweeter (which strangely seemed unpleasant).
I have tried the 99% bar abroad and enjoyed that too - I will definitely buy it again if I can find somewhere locally that sells it.

Smooth, dark and intense
This is truly wonderful chocolate. Intensely dark but not unpleasantly bitter. It has its own character and flavour. Extremely smooth in the mouth, unlike some dark bars which can seem hard and waxy. I enjoy that this is not overly sweet, it feels very grown up. Easy to eat with self control as it is so satisfying and rich.

The only way to consume a chocolate of this quality is to allow one or two pieces to melt in the mouth (without chewing), to savour the experience of each second on every conscious level. There is a palatable slight bitterness, not overpowering, not unpleasant. We adore Lindt 90% melted in hot milk for a delicious cup of hot chocolate. Sometimes we make other additions of spices or other flavourings. Once you have this 'real' hot chocolate, you won't want to go back to pre-packaged powders. I also use this Lindt bittersweet chocolate bar to make Champagne truffles. Once you try a higher percentage of cacao chocolate bar, it can become difficult to go back to other bars, so I keep a permanent assortment of Lindt 70%, 85% and 90% in my kitchen drawers, ready to consume, and which one I opt for depends on my mood. When you break off a piece from any of the 3 bars, they all have the snap of a quality chocolate

Fantastic, Rich and Smooth Chocolate.
This was my first try of proper dark chocolate an I loved it. It's so rich and smooth. Let it melt in your mouth without chewing and taste the flavours. One square satisfies you. I tried green and blacks 85% at the same time but I prefer the lindt as the green and blacks was a bit sweet for me. I see Lindt do a 99% cocoa bar as well, it would be good if sainsburys would stock this as I would love to try it :).

Just as I expected
I’m don’t mind eating Dark Chocolate and can do from time to time but it’s not usually my go to. I’m now only having dark chocolate for health benefits and came across this 90% Lindt. I LOVE IT! I have 1 single square daily to keep my cravings away, I eat 1 square in 4 bites as they are big enough and I like to let the chocolate melt in my mouth as I chew it slowly, it has a good balance of sweet and bitter. I personally didn’t find the bitterness to be overpowering (speaking as I person who isn’t fond of bitter foods), the bitterness is there but it’s subtle if you eat it as I do (slowly). Excellent product - I am impressed and happy with this purchase :)

smooth & delicious...if you're off sugar
We love this at our house. As we can't get 100% cocoa chocolate off the shelf, we use this. We don't eat sugar so our palate can cope without tonnes of sugar. This is smooth, and not at all bitter. Just perfect....especially with a strong decaf coffee!

Rich and satisfying
I am trying to limit myself to half to one square a day of this delicious chocolate! I prefer this it to the 99% which is far more bitter and challenging and also the 85% which seems very sweet in comparison. It does melt in the mouth but you need to give it a bit of time. We stock up when it is on offer, which comes around pretty regularly making this fantastic value for such a high quality choc.
