Chia, Chocolate and Berry Bowl

This triple-tiered taste sensation is an energising make-ahead breakfast when you need something to ‘grab and go.’ Delve in and discover a fabulously fruity berry base hidden underneath layers of chia pudding and sweet vanilla yogurt - all topped with a sprinkling of fruit. Add a little indulgence with a square of EXCELLENCE Raspberry Intense Dark Chocolate.

This versatile recipe can be adjusted according to your own tastes. Try different fruit juices (our Lindt Master Chocolatiers recommend orange or cherry juice) and compotes, not forgetting our range of EXCELLENCE chocolates flavoured with the finest ingredients. You can make this recipe suitable for vegans by using syrup instead of honey, plant-based milks and yogurts, and our vegan-friendly EXCELLENCE chocolate bars.   • 250 ml milk (see tip)
  • 125 ml vanilla yogurt (see tip)
  • 40 g chia seeds
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp honey or maple syrup (see tip)
  • To layer:
  • 125 ml vanilla yogurt (see tip)
  • 4 tbsp fruit juice (see tip)
  • 100 g fresh or frozen mixed berries
  • 150 g summer berry compote
  • To serve:
  • Fresh raspberries
  • 2 tsp toasted coconut flakes or desiccated coconut
  • 2 squares Lindt EXCELLENCE Raspberry Intense Dark Chocolate


Step 1.

Whisk the milk with the vanilla yogurt, chia seeds, vanilla extract and honey (or maple syrup) until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Step 2.

Blend together the vanilla yogurt, fresh fruit juice and mixed berries until smooth.

Step 3.

Divide the berry compote between two glasses or bowls. Top with the chilled chia pudding followed by a layer of the berry yogurt mix.

Step 4.

Sprinkle with fresh raspberries, followed by the toasted coconut flakes. Top with a square of Lindt EXCELLENCE Raspberry Intense Dark Chocolate.
