Chia seeds are high in fibre, antioxidants and omega 3s. Try them in this easy chocolate chia pudding that proves healthy eating doesn’t have to mean missing dessert.
4 pieces (40g) Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa *
335ml milk alternative e.g. almond, coconut or hazelnut milk
4 tsp maple syrup
4 tsp whole black chia seeds
*Please note, while Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa doesn’t contain milk in its ingredients, we cannot guarantee that this product does not contain traces of cow’s milk.
Duration -Prep time: 10 minutes (plus 8 hours chilling)
-Cook time: 5 minutes
Place
chocolate in a bowl and set aside. Heat milk and maple syrup in a saucepan on low heat, then pour over chocolate and mix until blended.
Place
chia seeds in a large jar with a tight-fitting lid, or four individual ones, each about 125ml in size. Pour in chocolate milk, mix, and close jar(s).
Refrigerate
for at least 8 hours, or up to 24 hours, stirring once to ensure mixture is even.
Serve
topped with banana slices and shavings of Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa.
