Spiced Dark Chocolate Discs
These subtly spiced, vegan-friendly, dark chocolate discs are ideal for a little chocolate indulgence. They also make perfect presents when wrapped in pretty cellophane bags.
Chocolatier’s Tip
You can experiment with different flavoured discs; for a fruity twist, sprinkle with freeze dried raspberries or take inspiration from the tropics and add a sprinkling of desiccated coconut. If making this recipe for someone following a gluten free diet, always check the manufacturer's label to ensure your ingredients are free from gluten.

- 300 g Lindt EXCELLENCE 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate, chopped
- 3 tbsp blanched nuts, chopped
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp flaked sea salt
- Or
- Zest of a large orange
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
Method
Step 1.
Line 2 baking sheets with grease-proof paper.
Step 2.
Put the chopped chocolate into a heat-proof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water. Stir until smooth and melted.
Step 3.
Pour 1 tbsp rounds of the melted chocolate, spaced apart, onto the prepared baking sheets. Carefully spread, using the back of a spoon, to form discs about 4 cm in diameter.
Step 4.
Sprinkle over your choice of toppings and leave to set.
