Chocolatier’s Tip

Alter your dipping fruits depending on the time of year for a sumptuous and seasonal dessert. If making this recipe for someone following a gluten free diet, always check the manufacturer's label to ensure your ingredients are free from gluten.



  • For the fondue:
  • 300 g Lindt EXCELLENCE 78% Cocoa Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • 300 g Lindt EXCELLENCE Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate, chopped
  • 415 ml double cream
  • For dipping:
  • Marzipan, sliced into rounds
  • Clementine and oranges, peeled and separated into segments (see Tip)
  • Physalis (see Tip)


Step 1.

Put both chopped chocolates into a medium heat-proof bowl and set aside.

Step 2.

Pour the cream into a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring often to ensure it does not overflow.

Step 3.

Pour the cream over the chocolate and leave to stand for 2 minutes - the chocolate will start to melt.

Step 4.

Mix with a spatula until smooth and glossy.

Step 5.

Pour into a fondue pot set over a low heat and serve with slices of marzipan and your chosen fruit.
