Chocolate Pancakes

A delicious chocolate version of a classic. Perfect as a treat or as a wonderful chocolate breakfast.

  • 115g Plain flour
  • 10g Quality cocoa powder
  • 1tsp Baking powder
  • 40g Crème Fraîche 
  • 1each Egg
  • 80g Lindt EXCELLENCE 70%, melted
  • 120ml Milk (approx.)

And a little butter for frying

Dry ingredients in a mixing bow

The crème fraîche and the egg.

The milk and the chocolate, creating a smooth ganache.

To the rest of the mixture and whisk until smooth.

Place a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

Brush with a little butter and place batter into pan (about a tablespoon for a small pancake)

For 3-4 minutes or until bubbles appear on the surface.

And cook through. 

Transfer to a plate to cool slightly.

Generously fill pancakes with some crème, stack them up and serve with a little chocolate sauce.
